Jerry's Off-road Go-Kart Project
(continued)

Upper back view of the finished rolling chassis.

The centrifugal clutch just wasn't enough for the bottom end power so I acquired this torque converter from a friend and here it is dummied on for fit.

The original backing plate was in the way of where the chain needed to run so I fabricated this jackshaft plate that bolts between the engine and mounting plate.

Here is another view with the pulleys in place to check alignment. After some shimming it worked well enough to test it.

The drum brake wasn't enough so I put this disk brake on. Unfortunately it isn't big enough either and had to be replaced with a larger caliper.

On February 24th we bent roll cages for my kart and Tanner Anderson's. The next three pictures show the different views of the cage on mine.
